About Us

We offer specialist damp and timber surveys to find the real cause of dampness in buildings.

We offer damp and timber surveys, mould removal and condensation solutions and basement waterproofing across the South West. Our damp surveys are totally impartial – we do not try to sell unnecessary works. After many years working in the ‘damp proofing’ industry, it became all too apparent that rising damp is frequently misdiagnosed leading to costly works being carried out. We have a particular interest in older properties with damp problems and believe that use of the correct materials and breathability are key to solving damp walls. All surveys are carried out with the utmost care and attention by a CSRT CSSW Property Care Association qualified surveyor. Check out the FAQ for more info.

Light blue/Dark blue show a cold spot in a ceiling which was leading to peeling paint and mould
Hidden mould found on the back of a picture in a very humid and damp house in Exeter.
Black spot mould always finds the cold spots in homes. This loft hatch was not insulated making it very cold compared to the surrounding ceiling. The mould seemed to love it!
A 3mm mesh membrane was applied to the wall of this damp house in Torquay.
Not all mould is black. In this case a lack of loft insulation was leading to yellow mould.
This damp wall in Salcombe had been repaired externally but salt damage was ruining the internal finish. A membrane solved the problem.
